Tequila is made primarily from the blue Weber agave plant. To be considered authentic tequila, it must be produced from at least 51% agave, though premium tequilas use 100% agave for richer flavors and smoother finishes.

The core of the agave, called the piña, is roasted and then crushed to extract its sweet nectar, which is fermented and distilled into tequila. The time and effort involved in the growth, cultivation, and processing of the agave give tequila its deeply rooted connection to the land and Mexican heritage. This strong connection to the agave plant makes every bottle of tequila an authentic representation of its origin and the skilled craftsmanship that transforms this humble plant into a refined spirit.
